Golden Gaming won't buy Saddle West
Golden Gaming has decided not to pursue the purchase of the Saddle West hotel-casino in Pahrump, a spokesman for the company said.
The property, which would of been the tavern operator's fifth casino, is now owned in a partnership between Anthony Marnell III and Sher Gaming.
Golden Gaming announced the deal for the property, which is 55 miles west of Las Vegas, in November.
The company, which is known for its PT's brand of taverns, owns the Pahrump Nugget.
No reason for the decision was available.

FCC stops Verizon's marketing effort
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission voted to stop Verizon Communications Inc. from trying to talk its customers out of switching to another telephone provider while they wait for their phone numbers to be transferred.
The FCC's decision is a victory for Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable Inc., the two biggest cable-television providers, and closely held Bright House Networks LLC.
The three companies, which offer Internet-based phone service, filed a complaint against Verizon in February.
Phone and cable companies are trying to lure each other's customers with packages of Internet, phone and television service.
When Verizon subscribers decide to switch to cable phone service without changing their phone numbers, the cable providers notify Verizon of the customers' plans so the numbers can be transferred.
The process of moving a customer's telephone number can take as long as four days.
