Las Vegas-based wholesale bakery found in violation of minimum wage, overtime pay rules

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division found that Las Vegas-based wholesale bakery, Majesty Bakeries LLC, was in violation of paying its employees minimum wage and overtime pay between April 10, 2012 and April 9, 2014.

The company, located at 5230 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite A, has agreed to pay $57,369 to 51 employees, according to Las Vegas District Office Director Gaspar Montanez.

“This is not a criminal investigation, the case was assigned to us in February of this year,” he said. “They agreed to comply and pay and the case has been settled. The company is still in business.”

A phone message left by the Review-Journal for Majestic Bakeries seeking comment was not returned.

Majesty Bakeries services major casinos, restaurants and retailers such as Wal-Mart, Vons and Costco, Montanez said.
