Local tech company Tracky gets $1 million boost
The Vegas Tech community got a shot in the arm Friday when local startup Tracky announced the receipt of
$1 million in angel funding.
Tracky co-founder Jennifer Gosse, who owns the company with her husband, David, said the company will not yet disclose the identities of its investors or whether they are based in Las Vegas.
Tracky is a social collaboration platform that combines elements of social media with project management tools, integrating users' personal and work tasks. The funding will help the site, hosted locally in the Switch SuperNAP data facility and still in beta testing, officially launch at the end of the month.
"Our team has worked really hard to get here. We're looking forward to launching," Gosse said.
The funds will also help the company hire full-time staff.
The Gosses are en route to the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, where they will demo Tracky at today's Startup Debut showcase.
Other Vegas Tech startups that have recently completed rounds of angel funding include smartphone-driven robot makers Romotive and garage sale iPhone application Rumgr.
