AWARDS
The College of Southern Nevada Foundation recognized the Las Vegas Hospitality Association for its scholarship contributions with a 2013 Legacy of Achievement Award. Julie Pazina, president, accepted the award for the organization.
Joseph Quagliano, director of the college’s food and beverage management program, was also awarded a 2013 Legacy of Achievement Award during the eighth annual Legacy of Achievement Gala.
Prestige Travel was recognized by American Express as one of the top 25 agencies of the U.S. Representative Travel Network to receive the Representative Excellence Award for 2012-13.
Paragon Pools received the 2013 Communitas Award for the organization’s annual Float Like A Duck water safety campaign. The award is an international effort to recognize the spirit of communitas: people helping people.
EDUCATION
Elizabeth Brickfield, shareholder for Lionel Sawyer & Collins, was named to the College of Southern Nevada Foundation’s board of trustees.
She practices tax and family law, including estate planning, trusts and estates, guardianship matters and probate.
FINANCE
Merchant Factors Corp. named Jill Lieberman-Super business development representative for the Southern Nevada region.
Nevada State Bank named Tyler Olson SBA loan resource officer. He serves as a liaison between clients and the bank during the underwriting process. The bank also named Kelly Hahn vice president and corporate banking relationship manager.
Nevada Association Services Inc. named Danielle Hicks customer service specialist. Her responsibilities include handling incoming telephone calls, taking payments and other administrative and customer service duties.
GAMING AND HOSPITALITY
Wet ’n’ Wild Las Vegas named Chris Hicks revenue manager and Matthew Watts resale manager.
Hicks will oversee ticket sales and the front gate, including guest services, season pass processing and rentals. Watts will develop and implement a food and beverage program that will feature both premium selections and traditional theme park fare.
LAW
Snell & Wilmer partner Greg Brower was named to the executive committee of The Federalist’s Society’s criminal law & procedure practice group.
He is a member of the law firm’s white-collar defense and investigations, commercial litigation and appellate practice groups.
Alverson Taylor Mortensen & Sanders partner LeAnn Sanders was accepted as a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers.
Gordon Silver was selected for the Best Law Firms List in the 2013 spring edition of The Best Lawyers in America. The law firm was selected as Tier 1 for seven practice areas and Tier 3 for real estate law.
MARKETING
Global Experience Specialists named Steve Gebhart vice president of digital product development and client solutions.
He previously served as lead for the design, development and launch of Expresso, GES’ exhibit planning and management system.
The Glenn Group named Brittany Rubenau media buyer. She previously served as media coordinator.
In her new position, she will be responsible for executing media buys for clients.
