CONSTRUCTION
Burke Construction Group CEO Kevin Burke has been reappointed to the Nevada State Contractor’s Board. Burke previously served as the governor-appointed chairman of the board. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Associated General Contractors and several professional organizations, including National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Legatus, the World Presidents Organization, and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance.
The Las Vegas chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction has named officers and directors for 2015. Officers are: president, Debbie Mello, Desert Lumber; vice president, Heidi Zupancic, McCarthy Building Cos.; recording secretary, Julie Barraza, Westcor Cos.; corresponding secretary, Cheri Hickman, Diversified Communications Solutions Inc.; treasurer, Kathy Hope, M &K Heating &Cooling; and immediate past president, Liz Teramoto, Tiberti Co.
FINANCE
Christine Tassone joined Clark County Credit Union as a new mortgage loan originator.Tassone will be assisting borrowers in determining the best loan choice for their needs, and then working with them to qualify for the loan.
Meadows Bank hired Donna DeMarco as a vice president, relationship manager. DeMarco brings a wealth of banking knowledge and experience with her to the company with more than 27 years of experience in branch and relationship management.
GAMING
James D. Meier joined Nevada Gold &Casinos Inc. as vice president, chief financial officer and secretary. Meier is a certified public accountant and has held financial and accounting positions in various Nevada-based gaming operations.
HEALTH CARE
Matt Smith Physical Therapy hired Lauren Taylor Whitaker as a physical therapy assistant. Whitaker will be working at the company’s Stephanie clinic. Before joining Matt Smith Physical Therapy, Whitaker graduated from San Jacinto College with an associate of applied science.
LAW
Michael Esposito joined Gordon Silver as an associate in the Las Vegas office. He will be a member of the firm’s estate planning, probate and guardianship, corporate and securities and real estate transactions practice groups.
Lindsay Demery Robbins and Danielle Holt joined Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen &Sanders as associate attorneys. Robbins’ practice focuses on transportation law, products liability and premises liability. Holt focuses on the defense of medical malpractice, employment discrimination and general litigation matters.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
R&R Partners named Ron Eagle senior vice president of public relations. Eagle will work to increase the company’s consumer-facing public relations business and will work closely with its government and public affairs leaders in Washington, D.C., and Mexico City.
