UNLV Lee Business School named Chin-Chun (Vincent) Hsu, associate professor of international business, MBA director; hired Rebecca Metty-Burns as the career services coordinator for the MBA Program; and promoted Lisa Davis to associate director of MBA Programs.

Dr. Miriam &Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus recently celebrated third grade teacher Sherry Lasky for her 25 years of service as an educator. Lasky has received many awards for her achievements as an educator, most notably as a 2004 Summerlin Children’s Forum Evening of Excellence honoree.

FOOD &BEVERAGE

Bin 702, a restaurant and bar specializing in fine wine and beer located at Downtown Container Park, has earned Wine Spectator’s 2014 Award of Excellence.

HEALTH CARE

Yasnai Rodriguez has joined the Nevada Health Care Association as administrative support, where she will provide assistance in all areas of administrative oversight, communication and scheduling for the association’s executives.

LAW

Gregory J. Kamer, founding partner of Kamer Zucker Abbott, was recently selected for inclusion in “The Top 100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” list jointly published by Human Resource Executive magazine and Lawdragon. This is the fifth consecutive year Kamer has been recognized as one of the nation’s most powerful employment attorneys.

Bill Curran, managing partner of the Ballard Spahr Las Vegas office, was honored with the Presidential Award by the State Bar of Nevada. The Presidential Award is presented to a State Bar of Nevada member who has practiced law for 20 years or more and whose conduct, honesty and integrity represent the highest standards of the legal profession.

Jack Juan, a shareholder at Marquis Aurbach Coffing, recently graduated from the FBI Las Vegas Citizens Academy.

Elizabeth Stephens, of counsel to Sullivan Hill, was recently named managing attorney of the firm’s Las Vegas office.

MEDIA

Eric Bonnici named executive director of Nevada Broadcasters Foundation and director of sales and marketing for the Nevada Broadcasters Association. As the executive director, Bonnici will oversee the entire operations of the foundation, including fundraising, scholarship efforts and mentoring programs, among others. Bonnici is a member of the Broadcasters Hall of Fame, a three-time Electronic Media Award recipient for Account Executive of the Year as well as Manager of the Year and an American Advertising Federation Silver Medal Award recipient.

NONPROFIT

Karl Nielson, a shareholder in the Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas Las Vegas office, has been selected to the advisory education board of the School of Life Foundation.

Jennifer L. Carleton, shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, has been appointed to serve on the American Heart Association, Las Vegas Go Red for Women executive committee.

The Firm Public Relations &Marketing hired Eleni Stylianou as an assistant public relations specialist. Stylianou joins The Firm with three years of public relations agency experience servicing entertainment, hospitality and non-profit clients.

TRADE SHOW

MC2 named Martin Knott president of the southwest division, which includes Las Vegas, San Francisco and Kingman, Ariz. In addition, MC2 promoted William Foster to vice president of the southwest division.
