Silver State Schools Credit Union on Wednesday appointed Nicole Rourke to the credit union's board of directors, bringing the board's size to seven members. Rourke is executive director of government affairs for the Clark County School District.

Rourke joins Mannion, Mitch Fox, vice chairman, Teresa Yeoman, secretary/treasurer, and directors Leonard Petoske, George Ann Rice and Joyce Woodhouse.

She also joins a credit union that return to profitability in the second quarter, posting net income of $1.2 million. The credit union has lost $2.3 million in the first six months of 2012.
