Sprint to hire for new Las Vegas stores in September

Telecommunications giant Sprint will open seven new stores in the Las Vegas Valley, opening 37 positions for newly hired employees.

Most of the new locations are scheduled to open in the fall, spokesman John Votava said. Each store usually hires about seven employees. Other employees will be moved from existing locations.

Hiring will start in mid-September, he said. People can apply at sprint.com/jobs.

The stores are at:

— 55 N. Stephanie St., Henderson

— 2570 E. Desert Inn Road

— 7291 S. Eastern Ave.

— 2342 E. Bonanza Road, Las Vegas

— 334 W. Lake Mead Parkway, Henderson

— 3531 S. Rainbow Blvd.

The location for the seventh store has not yet been announced.

The hiring is part of an investment in the Southwest that has included $1.1 billion toward the network in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah and West Texas.

Sprint isn’t the only telecommunications company investing in the valley. T-Mobile expects to finish a 10,000-square-foot retail location inside Showcase Mall later this year.
