Two brothers were arrested after stopping an argument between their respective girlfriends, then fighting each other at an east valley apartment complex Tuesday night.
The brothers initially tried to stop an argument between their girlfriends at an apartment in the 4550 Karen Ave. complex, near Sahara Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, just before 11 p.m., said Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon. But as they tried to intervene, the brothers instead began beating each other, he said.
When officers arrived after neighbors reported the fight, they found copious amounts of blood on and near the apartment. Both men sustained facial injuries, but both refused medical treatment, Gordon said.
The brothers were each arrested on domestic violence battery charges. It was unclear as of Tuesday night if the women were injured.
