Henderson homeless man’s death called apparent homicide

A homeless man was killed Tuesday night in an apparent homicide.

Henderson police said his body was found about 6 p.m. in a homeless encampment north of Lake Mead Parkway near Warm Springs Road.

Police did not say how the man was killed, only that he suffered “apparent wounds.”

A man checking on his homeless brother found the other man’s body, police said.

The Clark County coroner’s office has not released the dead man’s name. He appeared to be in his 30s, police said.

This was the second homicide in Henderson this year.
