Man shot in arm after checking on house

A man was shot while checking on his son’s house early Thursday morning.
According to Las Vegas police, the man was responding to his son’s home at 7260 Copper Road, near Hollywood Boulevard and Stewart Avenue, after the alarm was triggered.
He told police he saw a woman sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in front of the house. A second woman emerged from the house and got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
When the man confronted them, the driver shot him in the hand, shattering the driver seat window of the suspect’s vehicle, and then drove away, according to Las Vegas police.
The man’s injuries were not life threatening.
Police were unsure how or why the man was notified of the alarm. No arrests have been made in the incident.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark gray sedan with a shattered driver’s side window.
