Police search for car stolen after North Las Vegas homicide

North Las Vegas police on Thursday were searching for a vehicle stolen from a home after a homicide, hoping that it will lead them to the slaying suspect.

Detectives are trying to locate a 2006 white Dodge Sprinter cargo van with Nevada license plates 636YFH.

Early Thursday morning, police entered a home in the 2800 block of Haddock Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, after receiving a report of a suspicious situation. Police entered the house and found a 47-year-old man dead from multiple stab wounds.

The suspect or suspects fled the home before police arrived.

The victim's name has not been released by the county coroner's office.
