Suspect in Las Vegas homicide arrested in Los Angeles

Christopher Henderson-Reid, 27, was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday on charges in a Las Vegas homicide, according to Las Vegas police.

Officers found John Henderson dead from apparent strangulation in an apartment complex in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

According to police, Henderson-Reid and the victim fought before Henderson-Reid and the victim’s vehicle went missing.

Las Vegas police and the Los Angeles Police Department Fugitive Team arrested Henderson-Reid the same day in Los Angeles. He awaits extradition proceedings.

The cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
