Three indicted in shooting death; police say dispute over $50 debt

Three men were indicted in the April 29 slaying and robbery of Richard Blevins, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Troy Waggoner, 32, Segundo Alonso Gonzalez, 21, and Salvador Mora, 20, face murder and robbery charges.

According to Las Vegas police, Blevins owed Gonzalez $50 and, shortly before 1 p.m., Gonzalez confronted him at his apartment in the 1000 block of Third Street, near Main Street and Charleston Boulevard.

Words were exchanged and one of the three men shot Blevins at least four times. The three men then fled in Waggoner’s vehicle, police said.

Officers were called to the residence shortly after neighbors heard the shots, where they discovered Blevins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at University Medical Center two hours later.

Judge Linda Bell ordered all three men to be held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

An arraignment hearing was set for July 18.
