Two Las Vegans wounded in shooting at California motel
MODESTO, Calif. -- Police are investigating an early morning shooting Wednesday at a motel in Modesto, Calif., that left two Las Vegas residents wounded.
Officers responded to the Quality Inn around 2 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Inside they found a 36-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman with gunshots wounds.
The victims were taken to a hospital. Police said the woman was treated and released, and the man was in critical but stable condition.
No arrests had been made. Witnesses told police that at least two people involved in the shooting may have fled in a white vehicle.
Investigators did not release a possible motive for the shooting.
