A Nevada Department of Corrections inmate died at Renown Medical Center in Reno Friday afternoon.
Roger E. Hee, 72, died about 1 p.m. He was committed from from Washoe County in August 2000 and was serving life in prison for sexual assault with substantial bodily harm.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner will conduct the autopsy.
The Nevada Department of Corrections houses approximately 13,500 inmates in 18 facilities throughout the state.
