Man indicted in January Las Vegas slaying

Michael Smith, 25, was indicted Friday on a murder charge in connection with the January shooting death of another man. He faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the Jan. 14 slaying of Las Vegas resident Carlos Randle, 40.

Pedestrian hit by car, critically injured

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Sahara Avenue and South Maryland Parkway.
