Annual honorees selected by local Gay and Lesbian Center

Every year, The Gay and Lesbian Center of Southern Nevada recognizes and honors people and corporations that have helped raise awareness of the local LGBT community.

This year, Barbara Molasky is being honored as person of the year. Ron Quinn has been named volunteer of the year.

Molasky played an integral role in helping the Center secure funding for its new location earlier this year, said interim director Tom Kovach.

Quinn, a local businessman, has been a regular volunteer, helping with holiday dinners, youth programming and more, Kovach says.

The UFC was named corporation of the year. The annual honorarium will be held in October.
