Audiences off to see Wizard in Rainbow Company show

The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre will present "The Wizard of Oz," which opens at 7 p.m. Friday in the Charleston Heights Arts Center's theater, 800 S. Brush St.

All the characters will be there: the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Toto and the Wicked Witch of the West. The audience will also recognize the familiar songs in the production.

The production continues at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 14 and 15, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 and 16.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for teens and seniors, and $3 for children age 12 and under.

Tickets may be purchased by phone with a credit card or at the box office.

Rainbow Company Youth Theatre, a program of the Arts & Community Events Division of the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, has won many awards during its 31-year history.

The company has provided training in all aspects of theater, from acting to technical support, for generations of young people.
