SIGNINGS

Children's author McKenzie Wagner will sign and discuss "The Magic Meadow" and "The Golden Locket" at noon Monday at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Wayne Pacelle, president and chief executive officer of the Humane Society of the United States, will have a discussion, Q&A and book signing of his book "The Bond: Our Kinship with Animals, Our Call to Defend Them" at 7 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble, 8915 W. Charleston Blvd.

Vicki Pettersson will sign and discuss "The Neon Graveyard" at 7 p.m. Friday at Borders at Town Square, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Bishop W. Ralph Mangum will sign and discuss "Random Thoughts About God" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

Ron Mackey will sign and discuss "Parenting: The Bottom Line" at 1 p.m. June 5 at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

EVENTS

The Mahogany Circle Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

Sisters in Crime of Southern Nevada meets at 3 p.m. the second Sunday of the month at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.
