SIGNINGS

Evangeline will sign and discuss "Simple Thoughts and Affirmations To Enrich Your Life" 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the Psychic Eye Book Shop, 9550 S. Eastern Ave., Henderson.

Matthew O'Brien will sign and discuss "My Week at the Blue Angel: And Other Stories from the Storm Drains, Strip Clubs, and Trailer Parks of Las Vegas" at 3 p.m. Saturday at Borders at Town Square, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

EVENTS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, 9001 Hillpointe Road, will host the Jewish Book Festival today with authors Daniel Levin, and Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn. Doors open at 4 p.m. The fee is $18, and includes refreshments (794-0090).

The Black Mountain Institute will host a reading with author Richard Burgin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Marjorie Barrick Museum Auditorium at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

"Tellabration!" featuring tellers from the Nevada Storytelling Guild sharing their storytelling talents, will be presented at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.

The Breakfast Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the third Friday of the month at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave.

Sisters in Crime of Southern Nevada meets at 3 p.m. the second Sunday of the month at Barnes & Noble, 3860 S. Maryland Parkway.

The Book Chat Cafe meets at 10:30 a.m. the third Saturday of each month at Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.

The Classics Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month at Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.
