Chris Gore will sign and discuss "Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide" at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Borders, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

EVENTS

Er Tai Gao will read from his book "In Search of My Homeland: A Memoir of a Chinese Labor Camp" at 7 p.m. Wednesday in UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum Auditorium, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.

The Library Tree Lane Gala and Auction, to benefit the expansion of the children's book collection at all Henderson Libraries locations, will be 7-10 p.m. Friday at Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway. The event will feature guest authors Norm Clark, D.J. Allen, Jack Sheehan and Geoff Schumacher, and the honorary chair will be Congresswoman Dina Titus. Gala tickets are $25 per person at the door or by calling 492-6584.

Book Lovers' Bistro meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.

The Brown Bag Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the second Thursday of the month at the Laughlin Library, 2840 S. Needles Highway.
