SIGNINGS
David Fishof, creator of the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, will sign “Rock Your Business: What You and Your Company Can Learn from the Business of Rock and Roll” at 6 p.m. Thursday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.
Chelsea Ramsey will sign “Brink: The Awakening” at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.
Southern Nevada Women’s History Project will have a book signing of “Steadfast Sisters of the Silver State: One Hundred Biographical Profiles of Nevada Women in History” at 2 p.m. April 21 at the Mesquite Club, 700 E. St. Louis Blvd.
EVENTS
The UNLV Barrick Lecture Series will present Dr. Eric Topol, director of the Scripps Translation Institute, at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Artemus Ham Hall at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. Topol is the author of “The Creative Destruction of Medicine: How the Digital Revolution Will Create Better Health Care.” Tickets are limited to two per person and are available at the UNLV Performing Arts Center (895-2787).
The Black Mountain Institute will host a reading featuring poet and scholar Amaranth Borsuk at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the UNLV Greenspun Auditorium, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway, free (895-5542).
The Las Vegas Writers Group monthly meeting will feature Las Vegas writer Kurt Divich, author of “Lords of Las Vegas” and the nonfiction book “The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, A Dream in the Desert,” discussing the topic “Grabbing the Reader” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tap House, 5589 W.
