EVENTS
A Jewish book sale will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. The sale is in conjunction with "Sharing the Light -- A Musical Celebration of Chanukah & Peace" at 4 p.m.
Mornings with Mari Book Club meets at 10 a.m. the third Saturday of each month at Barnes & Noble, 8915 W. Charleston Blvd.
The Breakfast Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the third Friday of the month at Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave.
The Contemporary Fiction Book Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month and the SNAFFU Science Fiction Book Club meets at 2 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
The Book Chat Cafe meets at 10:30 a.m. the third Saturday of each month at Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.
The Desert Hearts romance readers book club meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
The Fantastic Classics Book Club meets at 7:15 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month at Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
The monthly Poet's Corner is the third Friday of the month at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
STORY TIMES
Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and the second Saturday of the month at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.
Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
