Close to 2,000 students graduate UNLV — PHOTOS

UNLV held its winter graduation at the Thomas and Mack at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Close to 2,000 students graduated received their diplomas in Tuesday’s ceremony. According to UNLV, graduated ranged in ages from 19 to 70 and came from 56 foreign countries. Eighty-two percent of the grads were local.

UNLV President Don Snyder honored two graduated for their outstanding achievements. One is a doctoral student doing cancer research and another is an undergraduate doing research in Alzheimer’s.
