Ground turkey recall involves some 185,000 pounds of meat

Some 185,000 pounds of ground turkey are being recalled by Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. because of possible salmonella contamination.

The products, which were sold nationwide, include:

■ 16-ounce chubs of Honeysuckle White Fresh Ground Turkey with use-or-freeze-by dates of Sept. 19, 20 or 21.

■ 19.2-ounce trays of Honeysuckle White Ground Turkey with use-or-freeze-by dates of Sept. 10 or 12.

■ 48-ounce trays of Kroger Ground Turkey with use-or-freeze-by dates of Sept. 17, 18 or 19.

■ 48-ounce trays of Honeysuckle White Ground Turkey Family Pack with use-or-freeze-by date of Sept. 11, 12, 13, 15, 17 or 18.

■ 16-ounce trays of Honeysuckle White Ground Turkey with use-or-freeze-by date of Sept. 11.

■ 16-ounce trays of Honeysuckle White Ground Turkey Patties with use-or-freeze-by date of Sept. 18.

■ 16-ounce trays of Kroger Ground Seasoned Turkey Patties with a use-or-freeze-by date of Sept. 17.

Kroger is the parent company of Smith's and Food 4 Less.
