HELP US SAVE TIME AT DINNER

All of us -- or at least those of us who cook dinner more often than not -- have them, those go-to recipes that we rely on time and again, mostly because they're quick to put together, and generally fairly thrifty to boot.

Sometimes they've been handed down from mother or grandmother, or from neighbor or co-worker. Sometimes they've been gleaned from a publication, TV program or Web site. What they have in common is that they've become favorites of both the cook and his or her family, whether that family has two members or 10.

In these time-pressed, budget conscious days we're all looking for ideas for putting dinner on the table, so we're asking you to share yours. Send us your favorite weeknight recipes, including where they come from.

We're looking for recipes that are quick and not too extravagant. If they're healthy, it's an extra bonus.

Mail them to Weeknight Recipes, c/o Heidi Knapp Rinella, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0070, fax them to 383-4676, or e-mail them to hrinella@reviewjournal.com, with "Weeknight Recipes" in the subject line. Recipes must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 15.

We will print a selection in the Taste section and online.
