It’s a snap to enter Review-Journal’s summer photo contest

Even though it won't officially be autumn until Sept. 23, we've pretty much said goodbye to summer, and with it the time-honored American tradition of the summer vacation.

More and more of us have been vacationing close to home these days -- sometimes at home -- so we're finding our fun and relaxation where we can. But whether we take an elaborate European tour or stick with the familiar comforts of a staycation, we still take photos to remember the fun.

And so we're asking you, R-J readers, to share your summer-vacation photos. The best will be featured in the Travel section and online in October, and the judges' top pick will win a prize of $100.

Here's how to enter: Email photos (200 dpi) to Hrinella@reviewjournal. com (put "Summer Vacation" in the subject line), or mail them to Summer Travel Contest, c/o Heidi Knapp Rinella, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV, 89125-0070. Briefly describe the vacation and what is happening in the photos that have been submitted. Include your name, age, city or town where you reside and a daytime phone number in case additional information is needed. All photos must be received by Sept. 26.
