Local chefs offer early taste of Life is Beautiful

A sneak peek — maybe more like a sneak taste — of the Life is Beautiful Festival will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Made L.V. in Tivoli Village, 450 S. Rampart Blvd.

This month's edition of Made L.V.'s guest-chef series, the evening will feature a four-course, family-style dinner with Made (and Honey Salt) chef Kim Canteenwalla, Ricardo Romo of Itsy Bitsy Ramen and Whisky, Brian Massie of Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar and Sam Marvin of Echo & Rig. Mariena Mercer, chef mixologist at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, will prepare cocktails courtesy of Wirtz Beverage Nevada.

The dinner is $59, plus tax and tip. For reservations, call Made L.V. at 702-722-2000.

Life is Beautiful, which combines food, music, art and educational elements and last year attracted 90,000 people, will be Sept. 25-27 in downtown Las Vegas. The culinary schedule has not yet been announced; for more information, visit lifeisbeautiful.com.
