Mr. Chow to open at Caesars Palace on Dec. 15

The hotly anticipated Mr. Chow at Caesars Palace will begin taking walk-in guests on Dec. 15, with the first reservation available at 5 p.m. Dec. 19.

Mr. Chow, known for mixing fine dining with a self-described "raucous" atmosphere, was founded in London in 1968 and quickly reached iconic status. It was followed by a Beverly Hills location in 1974; currently there are two Mr. Chows in New York and one each in Miami and Malibu.

The Caesars Palace location is on the second floor, overlooking the Garden of the Gods pool area and accessed through private elevators off the casino. It's centered on an only-in-Vegas "suspended kinetic sculpture" designers say is unique in the city.

Mr. Chow also has terrace seating, which seems like it would be a fine place to be on New Year's Eve. The first seating, at 6 p.m., will have a three-course prix-fixe menu; with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label, it's $222 per person. The second seating, between 9 and 9:30 p.m., also will have a three-course menu, but it'll be $333 per person and will come with a bottle of Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon.

For reservations, call 702-731-7778 or email lvcitywiderestaurantgroupsales@caesars.com.
