registration begins Monday

Free fishing clinic to teach basics at Floyd Lamb Park

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will conduct a free family fishing clinic July 30 at Floyd Lamb Park.

Volunteer instructors will teach the basics of fishing, such as how to select baits and lures, casting techniques and knot tying. The clinic is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Tule pond inside Floyd Lamb Park, which is near Durango Drive and U.S. Highway 95. A Nevada fishing license is required for anglers 12 and older.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Monday. For more information or to register, call Ivy Santee at 486-5127, extension 3503.
