R-VOICE: What is your favorite charity?
Ellie Smith interviewed students from various schools.
Dominique Quattrini, Virtual High School senior
"My favorite charity would have to be Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Nevada because when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, they were there to help me in any way they could. They are an amazing organization and I am very grateful they were there while I was going through treatment."
Victor Ferguson, Las Vegas Academy sophomore
"My favorite charity is Make-A-Wish Foundation because I really like how they strive to grant terminally ill children their one wish."
Taylor Paulson, Las Vegas Academy sophomore
"My favorite charity is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because it is a nonprofit organization dedicated to treatment of children. They are able to do so much for families that are never required to pay."
Taylor Hardy, Bishop Gorman senior
"My favorite charity is Three Square because they serve the community by providing the less fortunate with food. This is important because no one should go without the most basic necessity of life." Haleyann Hart, Virtual High School FRESHMAN
"My favorite charity is Family Promise because it helps homeless families get back on their feet by supplying housing, food and job interviews for the adults."
Javlin Baloca, Bishop Gorman sophomore
"My favorite charity is American Red Cross because they commit to such worthy causes. ... They help the needy and restore refuge for those left in disaster, and their services along with our contributions make a big difference."
