Share your tales of the road

The Great American Road Trip.

It's part of our national DNA, the desire to hop into a vehicle -- two-wheeled, four-wheeled, it doesn't matter -- and hit the road, with no other objective than to see what might lie a few miles, or a few hundred miles, down the line.

Problem is, rising gasoline prices have put a crimp in this mainstay of the American imagination. But if we can't afford to take a long ride this summer, then we at least can share stories of the favorite, most memorable or most bizarre road trips we've taken.

So, tell us about your road trip. Keep it to 300 words or less, and we'll follow up with some of you to share the best tales of the road.

Send your stories to: Road Trips, Las Vegas Review-Journal Features Department, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0070. Or send emails to jprzybys@reviewjournal.com (put "Road Trips" in the subject line). Either way, be sure to include your name, age, address and daytime phone number. The deadline is 5 p.m. June 10.
