Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and pop culture that we've been talking about lately.

• Vandals spray-paint  over prehistoric rock art at Red Rock Canyon. Where's a Stephen King-style ticked-off, revenge-seeking, murderous American Indian ghost when you need one?

• The Southern Nevada Health District puts restaurant inspection reports online. Moving pornography and unhinged political bloggers down to only the second- and third-most disgusting things found online.

• Texas Christian University announces that it will leave the Mountain West conference and join the Big East. Somebody needs a GPS unit update, stat.
