Water Cooler: GSA spending, ‘pink slime,’ Jerry Lee weds, food truck spat

Here are a few things in news, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ The head of the General Services Administration resigns over a lavishly over-the-top 2010 training conference in Las Vegas. But remember, party planners: If career-ending and lavishly over-the-top is what you're after, we're your guys!

■ Supermarket and restaurant chains stop using the textured beef product known as "pink slime." Turns out consumers are surprisingly picky about exactly what sort of dead flesh they'll eat.

■ Pioneering rocker Jerry Lee Lewis weds for the seventh time at age 76. Guessing there'll be less shakin' going on this time around.

■ Las Vegas food truck and restaurant owners argue about how far away from restaurants food trucks should be made to park. Must ... resist ... urge ... to call it ... "a food fight."
