Water Cooler: Too much sex, jailhouse menu, TomKat

Here are a few things in news, sports, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ A student who's suing Western Nevada College over a human sexuality class claims that one of her assignments was to write a sexual self-history. Pretty sure this is how that "Fifty Shades of Grey" nonsense began.

■ The R-J reports that a recent week of menus at the Clark County Detention Center included American goulash, farmhouse stew, cheeseburger casserole and Mexican stroganoff. In other words, the same stuff tourists pay to eat at a few of Las Vegas' less distinguished buffets.

■ Katie Holmes files for divorce from Tom Cruise. Excuse us while we jump up and down wildly on our brand new couch.
