1 dead in rollover crash on U.S. 95 south of Boulder City

One person is dead after a Wednesday morning rollover crash on southbound U.S. Highway 95 at State Route 165, near Nelson’s Landing, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The single-vehicle highway crash happened about 5:15 a.m. near mile marker 46, south of Boulder City, NHP Trooper Loy Hixson said.

Two of the three people in the vehicle at the time of the crash were ejected, Hixson said. One was pronounced dead there, one was flown to University Medical Center, and the third passenger was “up walking around,” he said.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identity of the deceased.

Additional details about the surviving passengers and car were not immediately available.
