65-year-old man in fatal wreck identified

The 65-year-old man who died after driving into a power box Monday near Interstate 215 and Lake Mead Boulevard was identified by the coroner’s office as Louis Polizzotti.

Police records indicate Polizzotti struck the power box with his 2012 Toyota Prius just before 2 a.m. Tuesday as he traveled west on Button Willow drive near Lake Mead Boulevard and Interstate 215.

Polizzotti was taken to Summerlin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police indicate Polizzotti may have had a medical episode and lost control of the vehicle.

Coroner reports regarding the cause and manner of his death are still pending.
