Bomb threats to Kmarts, Dollar stores in Las Vegas all bogus

Kmart and Dollar stores have were targeted with bomb threats this week in the Las Vegas Valley, as well as other parts of the country.

The first local threat came in to a store phone around 3:30 p.m. Saturday to a Kmart, and soon, four more stores — both Kmarts and Dollar Generals — had received threats as well, said police.

Las Vegas police Lt. Ken Romane said that as of Saturday evening, all of the threats had been empty ones.

Kmart stores in Connecticut, Minnesota and Illinois have also reported bomb threats this week, according to their local news sites. Some of the threats have involved demands for loading disposable debit cards with money, said WFSB-TV News in Connecticut.
