Car that injured woman riding a moped sought by police

Authorities are looking for a car that hit and critically injured a woman riding a moped early Thursday morning.

North Las Vegas police said the 29-year-old woman was riding a red moped west on Craig Road, near Revere Street, when she was struck from behind by a small, black, two-door sports car, possibly a Toyota.

The crash happened about 3 a.m. The car never stopped .

Police said the car's front end probably was heavily damaged.

The woman was taken to University Medical Center where she was in critical condition.
