Dining Pick of the Week: Café Fiesta
PICK OF THE WEEK:
CAFÉ FIESTA
Fiesta Henderson, 777 W. Lake Mead Parkway, 702-558-7000
There are many reasons to visit Café Fiesta. The excellent menu is one reason, but even more inviting is that no menu item costs more than $9.99. Hearty entrees include spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf with white cheddar mashed potatoes, liver and onions, fish and chips (North Atlantic cod) and chicken Parmesan. Popular sandwiches are Reuben, crispy chicken on toasted sesame bun, turkey club, Philly cheese steak on hoagie, Ultimate Grilled Cheese on challah bread, black bean veggie burger and barbecue bacon burger with Tillamook cheddar (half-pound grilled ground sirloin on brioche bun). There are salads (Caesar, chicken Cobb, Chinese chicken), soups (chicken noodle, beef chili, New England clam chowder) and appetizers such as chicken egg rolls, Vegas shrimp cocktail and Buffalo wings. Breakfast is served throughout the day with steel-cut Irish oatmeal, banana bread French toast, omelets (vegetable, chili and cheese, Denver, corned beef hash), huevos rancheros, chorizo and egg burrito, New York steak with three eggs and cheeseburger Benedict, a twist on the classic with poached eggs, mini burgers, seasoned tomato and jalapeno catsup on English muffin with American cheese. Begin the morning with a mimosa or extra spicy Absolut Bloody Mary. Omelets begin at $7.99, and sandwiches start at $5.99. Café Fiesta is open 24/7.
