READER OFFERS SUPPORT OF LOCAL LIBRARIES
Once again, we Las Vegans can be proud of our Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, because it’s a finalist in the prestigious National Medal for Museum and Library Service awards.
The National Medal is the nation’s highest honor conferred on museums and libraries by the Institute of Museum and Library Services in recognition of service to the community and for making a difference in the, lives of individuals, families and communities. On April 24, 10 winners are to be announced and will participate in the National Medal ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Our Clark County libraries have a positive impact on our community for all ages — from children to teenagers to young adults, adults and senior citizens. They continue to be a vital and responsive resource for our needs.
The success of our libraries is due to our library district’s executive director, Jeanne Goodrich, and her excellent staff.
And here in our Spring Valley library branch, we have the progressive leadership of branch manager Nikki Winslow and computer center supervisor Johnny Parker.
