Driver charged with DUI in auto-pedestrian accident

Las Vegas police have identified the man arrested in Sunday evening’s accident that injured a pedestrian near Flamingo and Paradise Roads.
Leonard Yadao, 39, was booked on a DUI charge after hitting a man on Flamingo Road.
Yadao was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Flamingo Road about 5:40 p.m. as a pedestrian, Donald Tarr, was pushing his bicycle across the street outside of a marked crosswalk. The Chevrolet’s right side hit Tarr and his bike, throwing Tarr to the ground.
Tarr was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries.
There were two other passengers with Yadao at the time of the crash. They were not injured.
Yadao has a hearing scheduled on Tuesday.
