Driver identified in Monday night crash

A driver in critical condition after a Monday night crash in the south valley was identified by Las Vegas police on Tuesday.

Metro’s fatal detail was still investigating the crash that sent 33-year-old John Walsh of Las Vegas to Spring Valley Hospital with critical injuries, police said.

The crash happened about 7 p.m. near the Hacienda Avenue and Decatur Boulevard intersection. Walsh was driving a 2014 GMC Terrain eastbound on Hacienda when he left the road and drove into a fence and then into a block wall, police said.

It is unknown if Walsh suffered from a medical condition, police said.
