Firefighters rescue woman from burning building

Clark County firefighters rescued a woman from a burning building early Saturday morning. She had been injured and was unable to flee her second-floor apartment at 560 Sierra Vista Drive, near Desert Inn and Paradise roads, when it caught fire about 12:10 a.m.

The woman, who was treated at University Medical Center, was found in a back bedroom. The fire was quickly extinguished and ruled accidental. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
