House fire displaces eight in southeast Las Vegas Valley
March 28, 2015 - 6:14 pm
Two adults and six children were displaced after a house fire Saturday evening in the southeast valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at 4:02 p.m. to large flames showing from one side of the house at 5319 Vicksburg Ave., near East Tropicana Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard, Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan said in a news release.
Ten firetrucks responded to the home and crews had the blaze extinguished quickly, the release said.
It appeared the flames originated from a shed near the house, Buchanan said. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage were unknown Saturday evening.
No injuries resulted from the fire.
The American Red Cross responded to assist two adults and six children displaced by the fire.
