Man killed crossing Las Vegas Boulevard identified

A man who was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Las Vegas Thursday morning was identified Friday.

Marlin Blossom, 49, died from multiple blunt force trauma, the Clark County coroner's office said. The death was ruled an accident.

Las Vegas police said Barbara Beardsley, 69, of Las Vegas was driving a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pickup northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard at 9:52 a.m. Meanwhile, Blossom was crossing from the east curb of Las Vegas Boulevard toward the west curb north of Stewart Avenue when he entered the roadway outside a marked crosswalk and was struck by the pickup.
