Man suffers stings in attack by bees in Las Vegas

A man is suffering what officials say could be life-threatening injuries after a swarm of bees attacked him in Las Vegas.

Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin said firefighters pulled a man from the swarm Thursday afternoon near Eastern Avenue and Desert Inn Road.

Firefighters treated the man, then donned bee-resistant suits and doused the bee hive with foam in an attempt to destroy it.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital after officials say he was stung possibly hundreds of times.

His name and updated condition were not released.
