NLV barricade situation ends with man’s arrest

An armed man that created a barricade situation in a North Las Vegas neighborhood was arrested Saturday night.

At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, city police received a call for a disturbance at a residence near the intersection of Deer Springs Way and Clayton Street. The man, 35, was intoxicated and had fired multiple gun shots in his residence, according to police spokesman Aaron Patty.

Upon arriving, police asked a male subject to exit the residence, but the man declined.

After being barricaded for about four hours, the man exited the residence with his hands up about 10:20 p.m., according to police.

No injuries were reported.
