Northern Nevada inmate serving time on drug charges dies
A 54-year-old Northern Nevada inmate serving time for drug possession died Wednesday, the Nevada Department of Corrections wrote in a release the same day.
Martin Jones died at the regional medical facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City, NDOT said. The Carson City sheriff’s office will release his cause of death after an autopsy is performed.
Jones was committed from Washoe County and was serving a sentence of 19 months to four years for possession of a controlled substance, NDOT said. He was incarcerated May 8.
